How to book KR Pass ( Korail Pass )

Masa pegi Seoul bulan lepas, kitorang ade buat day trip ke Busan ... sebab nak jimat travelling time, kitorang opt utk naik KTX ( bullet train ) ... harga KTX ni boleh tahan mahalnya ... standard ticket untuk reserved seat harga 59,800 one way ... return journey dah almost 120,000 won sorang ... mmg mahal la.. dah namenye bullet train gitu kan

Jadiknye untuk penjimatan berganda, kitorang beli KR Pass ( Korail Pass ) ... pass ni ala2 mcm JR Pass yg kat jepun tu la ... ade 1-day pass, 3-day pass etc etc ... untuk 1-day pass, harga adelah 70,200 won sorang ... tapi kalau travel with a group of 2 to 5 person, ade saver price which is 63,300 won per person ... and boleh guna utk return trip kitorang ke Busan ... mmg jimat sesangat la sebab kiranye untuk one way trip between Seoul & Busan harga tiket hanyalah 31,650 won sahaja

KR Pass ni kene book siap2 before terbang ke sana ...

1) Booking can be done thru this site : http://www.letskorail.com/ebizbf/EbizBfKrPassAbout.do
Click on Korail Pass menu, then click Booking Now

2) Fill up all the necessary info.
Untuk Saver price ( for those travelling in a group of 2-5 ), under Passenger Style Type, select 'Saver'.
Then you have to fill up number of your companion travelling with you under Number of Extra.
Once done, click Reservation.

3) You need to give payment info after reservation made. However, they will not charge you at the point of reservation. Your credit card will only be charged once you exchange your e-Ticket to the actual KR Pass

Jumlah yg perlu dibayar = 189,900 won untuk 3 org

4) Details of the reservation will be displayed. Click on E-Ticket button to print out the e-Ticket. You need this e-Ticket in order to get the actual KR Pass.

5) This is how the e-ticket looks like. Print this and exchange it at any selected Korail station ( e.g.: Seoul Station, Busan Station, etc)

6) Exchange your e-ticket to the actual KR Pass ... this can be done earlier just to secure your tickets and seats reservation . We exchanged ours 3 days before the travel date.

Kitorang exchange kat Seoul Station ... sebenarnye tak tau kat mane nak tukar so we headed to Information Counter untuk tanye kat mane nak tukar our KR Pass .. rupenye boleh buat kat information counter tu jer .. so kene bagi the printed e-ticket together with passports for all passengers + the credit card yg aku pakai untuk book haritu ... masa nak exchange tu, kene mention nak exchange untuk which date ... pastu dah settle semua, maka dapatlah sekeping KR Pass ... walaupun pegi bertiga, tapi pass tu mmg dapat sekeping jer

Kitorang exchange kat information counter ni

Rupe paras our 1-Day KR Pass

7) Get your tickets using your KR Pass

Dah dapat KR Pass, maka bolehlah pegi booking tiket ... pegi kat mana2 kaunter tiket Korail, tunjuk KR Pass pastu just inform nak naik train kul brape ... org kat kaunter tiket tu reti cakap omputih so senang sangat nak book tiket ... we spent less than 5 minutes just to get the tickets ... and we managed to get reserved seats for both Seoul-Busan & Busan-Seoul ... ohh harus diingatkan with KR Pass ni, reserved seat is not guaranteed .. meaning kalau reserved seat dah abis, maka kite akan dapat standing seat tiket , which means takde tempat duduk ... so mmg agak haru la jugak kalau kene berdiri for 2.5 hours kan ... tapi mengikut citer2 org, kalau kite dapat standing seat, kite masih boleh duduk kat mane2 empty seats ... and masa naik train haritu, aku perasan in between train cars ade dua ketul seats and mmg ade org duduk kat those seats ... boleh bace experience si BK cemane die naik KTX with standing seat ticket kat sini

Dah dapat tiket tu, maka dihari kejadian boleh la naik KTX dengan senang hati :)

Entry Busan akan menyusul nanti ...

  6. Good and detail information writing about korail pass! 'Saver pass' means if you and your friends are between 2 and 5 people, you can buy a pass with saver price. And there is 'youth pass' which means if your age is between 13 and 25, you can purchase this pass. Also you can choose 1day, 3days, 5days and 7days pass depends on your trip schedules. You can make a reservation from the korail homepage by yourself, but if you not, you can buy a pass at 'travel center' in ICN. Only credit card payment is available not cash. If you get more information about 'Korail pass' , please visit to travel center in ICN. Thanks.
